Marjorie Taylor Greene Slammed Planned Parenthood for Offering Free Vasectomies and Abortions
Greene, a MAGA Republican and close ally to Donald Trump, called it "evil"
Planned Parenthood responded by saying they are "proud" to provide these services
Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) has slammed Planned Parenthood for offering free vasectomies and abortions near the Democratic National Convention (DNC) in St. Louis, Missouri.
In a statement, Greene called the move "evil" and accused Planned Parenthood of "targeting" young people.
"This is nothing more than a thinly-veiled attempt to promote abortion and sterilization among our youth," Greene said.
Planned Parenthood responded by saying they are "proud" to provide these services.
"We believe that everyone has the right to make their own decisions about their bodies and their futures," Planned Parenthood said in a statement.
"We are proud to offer a wide range of reproductive health care services, including vasectomies and abortions, to people of all ages."
The free vasectomies will be offered over three days in and outside Planned Parenthood clinics in St. Louis, Missouri.
The free vasectomies are part of a larger effort by Planned Parenthood to increase access to reproductive health care services in Missouri.
According to Planned Parenthood, Missouri has one of the highest rates of unintended pregnancy in the country.
The state also has a number of laws that restrict access to abortion and other reproductive health care services.
Planned Parenthood is hoping that the free vasectomies will help to reduce the number of unintended pregnancies in Missouri.
The free vasectomies are being offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
Appointments can be made by calling Planned Parenthood at 314-533-7526.
