The United States men's basketball team won the gold medal, with France winning the silver medal and Australia winning the bronze medal.

The United States men's basketball team has a dominant history in the Olympics, having won 16 gold medals, more than any other country. In the 2020 Olympics, the team continued its dominance, winning all eight of its games.
