Erling Haaland Fires Manchester City Closer to Premier League Title

Haaland Nets Brace as City Edge Closer to Glory

Manchester City's relentless pursuit of the Premier League title took another step forward as Erling Haaland inspired them to a hard-fought 3-1 victory at Brighton & Hove Albion.

The Norwegian striker opened the scoring in the 22nd minute, latching onto Kevin de Bruyne's through ball and coolly slotting home. De Bruyne doubled the lead just before half-time with a stunning strike from outside the area.

Haaland grabbed his second of the game in the 53rd minute, pouncing on a loose ball in the Brighton penalty area. The hosts pulled one back through Leandro Trossard's penalty in the 55th minute, but City held on for a crucial victory.

The result leaves Pep Guardiola's side with a seven-point lead at the top of the table with just three games remaining. They can secure the title next weekend if they beat Aston Villa and their rivals Liverpool fail to win at home to Tottenham.
