Iowa Hawkeyes to face off in semifinal game on Friday
IOWA CITY, Iowa - The Iowa Hawkeyes women's basketball team has punched its ticket to the Final Four of the 2024 NCAA Tournament, where they will face off against either the USC Trojans or the UConn Huskies on Friday, April 5 at 9:30 p.m. ET.
The Hawkeyes earned their spot in the Final Four with a thrilling 82-79 victory over the Louisville Cardinals in the Elite Eight. Caitlin Clark led the way for Iowa with 35 points, while Monika Czinano added 22 points and 12 rebounds.
Iowa will now face its toughest test of the season in the Final Four. The Trojans are the No. 1 overall seed in the tournament, while the Huskies are a perennial powerhouse. However, the Hawkeyes are confident that they can pull off the upset and advance to the championship game.
"We're excited to be in the Final Four," said Iowa head coach Lisa Bluder. "We know we're going to face a tough opponent, but we're confident that we can win."
The Final Four will be played at the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The championship game will be played on Sunday, April 8.

- Caitlin Clark's next game in the NCAA Tournament will be on Monday, April 1 at 7:15 p.m. ET. The Hawkeyes will face either the Stanford Cardinal or the North Carolina Tar Heels in the national championship game.
- The men's NCAA Tournament will be played from March 19-20, 2024 to April 8, 2024.
