Bayern Munich Reach Champions League Semis, Arsenal Bow Out

Kimmich's Goal Earns Bayern Aggregate Victory

Joshua Kimmich's second-half strike propelled Bayern Munich to a 1-0 victory over Arsenal in their Champions League quarter-final second leg, securing a 3-2 aggregate triumph and a place in the semifinals.

Despite a spirited performance from Arsenal, Bayern's quality ultimately prevailed. The visitors created several chances throughout the match but were unable to find the breakthrough.

The German champions, on the other hand, were clinical in their approach. In the 64th minute, Leroy Sane's cross from the right was parried away by Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale, but Kimmich was on hand to sweep home the rebound.

Bayern's victory means they will face Villarreal in the semifinals, while Arsenal's Champions League journey comes to an end. It also leaves Harry Kane as the only English player remaining in the competition, with his Tottenham Hotspur side facing Real Madrid in the other semifinal.
